Message from Miss Misty

Summer is here! Well not exactly, but the long awaited MDU Summer Brochure 2018 will be out March 1!
We are so excited to be doing a “soft-opening” of our new facility with a full offering of summer camps and classes beginning in June. We will be doing an official “Grand Opening” in late August.
A BIG thank you to all of the MDU families who weighed in on the best themes, days and times for summer programs. We’ve taken all of your ideas and feedback to heart and we hope you will be as excited as we are about our new summer packages! One of the camps I’m most excited about is our Musical Theater Camp! We will be producing “Seussical Jr.” for our very first summer show. Watch your inbox March for for all of the details!
-Miss Misty Lown, Owner

Message from Miss Shayna

Choreography has begun, costumes have started to arrive, and below you will find Show Assignments and Ticket Sales details. The excitement of “Everything Recital” is certainly filling the hallways here at the studio, but we know that the recital excitement for dancers can sometimes leads to the stress of remembering all the details for parents! We know our MDU families are busy and there are lots of details to remember so we have made a special Everything Recital page on our website for quick access to all things recital! Now, as soon as you open you will see our Everything Recital logo. One click and you easily reference all of the important dates, details, and documents that we have sent via email. Still have questions? No problem! Our front desk team is here to serve YOU this recital season!

-Miss Shayna Stellflue, School Director

Spring Recital Volunteer Opportunities

Anyone interested in volunteering to help out backstage is invited to complete a MDU Volunteer Preference Form! All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

CLASS MOMS are needed for each class to supervise the dancers. They do not need a Spring Recital ticket and will be able to watch their children perform from the side of the stage while volunteering. They are responsible for making sure that each child is in the proper costume, has the proper accessories and shoes, and is backstage at the appropriate time. This is an exciting job!

USHERS are needed for each show to assist the Viterbo University staff with collecting tickets, helping audience members find their seats, and assisting with program sales. Ushers do not need a Spring Recital ticket and are able to watch the entire show standing inside the auditorium. Only 8 volunteer ushers are allowed per show as Viterbo University requires that their staff make up the remaining usher positions.

Click HERE to submit your MDU Volunteer Preference Form. Forms will be accepted until March 1, as we would like to place as many volunteers as possible before regular ticket sales begin!
